Manchester City - Hull City Betting: Expect one-way traffic this weekend with the hosts in need of a big win

Manchester City - Hull City Betting: Expect one-way traffic this weekend with the hosts in need of a big win

The champions welcome Steve Bruce's men to the Etihad stadium, with our tipster backing the hosts to get their title charge back on track against a poor Tigers side
After going four matches without a victory, Manchester City will hope they can get back to winning ways as they entertain Hull City on Saturday.

The champions currently sit five points behind league leaders Chelsea after the sides drew 1-1 last weekend, with David Silva cancelling out Loic Remy's opener. City have struggled to grind out wins in recent weeks, drawing with Chelsea and Everton away from home and being beaten at the Etihad by both Arsenal and Middlesbrough.

Before their draw against the Toffees, Pellegrini's side had won 11 of their previous 12 matches, and Unibet price them at 1/5 (1.20) to return to winning ways this weekend.

Steve Bruce is coming under an increasing amount of pressure, with his Hull side struggling in 18th position in the Premier League. The Tigers have lost seven of their last nine matches, failing to score in all of those defeats.

Last time out, they were taken apart by Newcastle United at home, who ran out 3-0 winners. Unibet price them at 14/1 (15.00) to win and 23/4 (6.75) to claim a draw.

With Hull struggling to score, attention turns to the goals market, but with 'no' on both teams to score priced at 23/50 (1.46) with Unibet, it's far too short to back.

Manchester City to score in both halves is tempting at 8/11 (1.73), but with the hosts only netting 38 per cent of their goals in the first half, it's worth looking elsewhere.

The European handicap market seems to offer value, with City -2 7/5 (2.40) with Unibet. The champions are in need of a morale-boosting win, and with the likes of David Silva and Sergio Aguero coming back to full match fitness, it's worth backing them to add to Hull's woes.

This bet would have landed against Hull in their last two matches where they faced sides inferior to City (West Ham and Newcastle) so expect Pellegrini's men to take full advantage when they face a team they scored four times against earlier in the campaign.
